Vintage 1950s black velvet half hat by Chalmaux hats 29 Piccadilly W.1.
The hat is fully lined and has an internal Petersham edge with sits around your head, This half hat is made from either a silk or rayon velvet and is made simply from three shaped sections. It is in a completely clean wearable condition and is a good even dark black overall with no visible signs of wear. The photography has picked up tiny little bits of dust, which were not apparent before photography.
It may be necessary to used hair pins or a hat pin to keep this type of hat in place depending on your hair style and type.
