Victorian Staffordshire flatback vase of a shepherdess asleep under a tree with 2 sheep and a large dog which appears to be protecting her. She is beneath a tree and there is a snake wrapped around the trunk and above
29.5 cm tall x 18 cm wide 8 cm deep approx
It has all over crazing and along one of the craze lines there is a small green paint loss down one side approx 10mm long by 1mm, not seen head on, please view all photo collages Still lovely
I thought there were no apparent losses at first but after some research the striped green creeper is a snake and its head is missing, I am not an expert I just liked this so please view all the photos and request further pictures if necessary and buy as found with faults. One old glaze loss to base at rear where it wasn’t coated fully when made and fired
