Antique 19th century cut steel butterfly sash buckle. This would make a wonderful hair adornment in my mind. The buckle is of pinned/riveted construction. A sash buckle but it could be pinned into your hair or clothes made into a belt or used in any way you wish.
The steel strips are cut to make it sparkle and are pinned in the back

In very good condition overall with a couple of small rusty areas which will clean up
