Antique butterfly brooch cut steel pinned construction sash buckle 19th century

Antique cut steel butterfly buckle brooch, originally this was a shoe or sash buckle which has been converted and repurposed into a brooch.

Featuring 4 small butterflies in an oval, it has a good strong pin to the back.

The brooch is constructed of individually pinned / riveted steel pins.

Dimensions: 6.9 cm widest 4.7 cm highest approx

In very good condition overall, a couple of tiny rusty areas which have cleaned up since taking the photos.
