18th century narrow silk sleeve in maple veneer frame
The silk sleeve is complete and in excellent condition and was part of a lady's collection who restored and repaired historic clothing. I have put it into this frame against some organic English linen which I think makes a wonderful display/ decorative antique. The sleeve can be removed as I have modern clips in the back of the frame which allows it to be viewed if required and has not been attached to the fabric. The back of the sleeve has two seams

The frame is old and has a fine veneer of maple, it does have some historic losses on the corners and an old hanging ring to the top. The glass is more modern and came with the frame.
